Well the newest news in the greene family is Shaun is officially done at RC Willey's he now just works from home doing real estate. It sure will be nice to have him around more, we have already done more as a family since he has quit.
He was able to come to a Saturday family reunion which was impossible while he worked at RC Willey. The reunion was a lot of fun it was for the Richardson-Butler family and it was in Benjamin. Ethan had a lot of fun playing the kid games, he did the 3 leg race with another little boy and when he was done he said I raced all tangled up with that boy. Sophie just hung out with anyone who wanted to hold her, her great-grandparents enjoyed her.
We also took a day and went to Albion Basin and hiked to Cecret Lake, Shaun wanted to work out his ankle so we thought a little hike would do it. Ethan hiked the whole way all by himself and Shaun and I took turns holding Sophie. We ran into Shaun's Aunt Jane and Uncle John and Lizzie while we were hiking, it was nice to be able to spend some time with them. It was a nice day, the weather was perfect. We were to late in the season to see all the wild flowers, but it was still pretty.
The last few days we have just been getting ready for Caleb to get home from his mission, he gets home tomorrow at 3:45. We are so excited to see him! I am sure we will have a lot to blog about after that.

Our Summer
We have already had a very fun and eventful summer and we hope it will stay fun till the end. It started in June we spent a week in Park City with the Fullmer family, while we were up there we went swimming, shopping and went to Lagoon for a day. It was a blast Ethan loved lagoon a few of the rides scared him a bit. Some of the rides he would get off and say "that ride was too scary" but for the most part he enjoyed it very much.
July was fun as well we were able to go to Bear Lake twice to Shaun's dad's cabin, we spent a lot of time at the beach. Shaun went water skiing and took Ethan on the boat and also on rides on the tractor (used to pull the boat) and the 4 wheelers. The second time we went Shaun's cousin Jared and his wife Harmony came, it was a lot of fun to be up there with them. Ethan loves Jared and wanted Jared to do every thing with him. Jared and Ethan even built a sand turtle together, but if you ask Jared it was a castle.
The 4th of July was also very fun we had a picnic and watched fire works with Jessica's family. Ethan really enjoyed the fire works, Sophie slept through all of the excitement.
On July 14th our summer took a slight turn, Shaun went rock climbing with his friend Adam and took a slight fall and hit his foot on something which broke his foot. The worst part of the whole incident was having to hike down the 2 miles back to his truck. He made it down and Jessica took him to the hospital, his foot and ankle were pretty banged up but he is recovering well. Worst part for him is no more rock climbing this summer.
July 24th was fun Jessica's parents came over for a BBQ and to light fireworks Ethan loved all of the fireworks, except for the loud ones. Sophie enjoyed them as well she was wide eyed the whole time.
We also spend a lot of time at the local pool Ethan is quite the little swimmer, we enjoy watching him swim. As for the rest of the summer we are just hanging out and anxiously waiting for Caleb to come home from his mission on August 27.

We are now bloggers!
So after many friends and family asking if we have a blog we decided to start one. Well for starters I will talk about my beautiful kids, Ethan just turned 3 on July 28 (I can't believe it) and Sophie is 5 months old. Ethan is so full of life and is always going full speed, he really gives me a run for my money. As I said before he just turned 3 and we had so much fun celebrating. On his Birthday we took him to the Dinosaur museum and he loved it I think Shaun liked it even more. We also saw the 3D movie about Dinosaurs and it was so funny to see Ethan's response to the 3D images flying at him. He almost fell out of his chair a few times.
We had his birthday party on the 30th, originally it was supposed to be at our house but plans changed. Well for starters Shaun broke his foot a few weeks ago so he is on crutches so he can't help out too much. Then the morning of the party I was trying to get yard work done when I noticed a HUGE wasps nest right by where we were planning on having the party. Then as I was trying to set up a table in the backyard the table collapsed. I was ready to explode, then my phone rang it was my mom all she said was " how about we do the party in our backyard?" I was so relieved I guess mothers intuition kicked in and she knew what I needed without me even telling her. I am so thankful for my wonderful parents!
So the party was moved and it was a blast, all of our close friends and family were there and Ethan got spoiled rotten. I can't believe the generosity, so thank you to all of you for all of the great gifts.
So now about our little angel Sophie, she is the best baby! She is always so happy and is a good sleeper we are so lucky. She had a little bit of a rough start, but is wonderful and healthy now. She was born at 35 weeks I had to be induced do to toxemia. They induced me on February 28 and she was born on the 29th (Leap day) At first I was a little upset about her only having a birthday once every 4 years, but now I think it is special.
Sophie was 4lb 9oz but only had to spend 2 days in NICU and only had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. We feel so blessed that we have beautiful healthy kids!
